I have always been infatuated with good music and the radio business, beginning in the 70's when my best friend's dad was the General Manager of WMNZ in Montezuma Ga and took us down to the station when we were teens and let us hang out every now and then. As my musical interests grew, a couple of friends and I, competed to see who had the best stereo receiver at picking up the "faraway" stations like WPFM in Panama City FL, when we lived in Dawson Georgia. It was always great when we could pick up "PFM" and hear them play "My Friend Jack", our favorite song of all, in those days. The radio "mystique" definitely made its mark on me at an early age.

When the local FM station in Bainbridge called Cat Country, came up for sale, I knew we had to do what we could to bring local ownership to Bainbridge Georgia's only true local FM station and to make it a great station in the process. Since February of 2005, we have seen many dreams come true, including the purchase of Cat Country - WBGE - and taking the station to the #1 most listened to radio station in Decatur County, of all the radio stations heard in the County ! Thanks to the Good Lord, our listeners, and advertisers for helping us accomplish this feat in the 2005 AND 2006 Arbitron County Report.

In March of 2006, we entered into a purchase agreement for WGMK-FM, WSEM-AM, and WBBK-AM in Donalsonville and Blakely. We feel this is a complimentary addition to our current footprint and we hope to continue to improve these station's local presence in the communities they serve.

We hope to continue to bring great music, great fun, and "Good News For The Day" and maybe somewhere along the way, help someone to smile or cheer up someone needing an encouraging word.
